Contrast: The Glad Tidings of the Kingdom that won’t fall
Yshá`Yâhuw 40:1-17
1. “Console, console My people,” Says your mighty Ones;
2. “Speak, ye priests, to the heart of Yruwshâláim, and call to her, because her war has ended, because her punishment for iniquity has been accepted, because she has received from the hand of Yâ-hwéh double for all of her sins!” [Howshë´a` 10: 10, Disclosure 18: 6]
3. A voice of one calling is in the uninhabited land: ‘Prepare The Way of Yâ-hwéh! Make ye straight in the desert a public way to our mighty Ones!’ [MattithYâ´huw 3: 1-3, Márquwç 1: 3]
4. Every valley shall be raised up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall be made level, and the rugged as a plain!
5. And the Value of Yâ-hwéh will be revealed and all of flesh together will see, as the mouth of Yâ-hwéh has spoken!’ [Luwqá’ 3: 4-6]
6. A voice is saying, ‘Proclaim!’ So I said, “What shall I proclaim?” “All, of the flesh are herbage; and all of its beauty like a flower of the field!
7. Herbs wither, flowers fall, because the spirit of Yâ-hwéh, it blows on it – evidently the people are herbage.
8. Herbs wither, flowers fall, but the Word of our mighty Ones is established forever!”
9. Climb up on the high mountain, O herald of the glad tidings of Tsiyyówn! Raise your voice in the shout, O herald of the glad tidings251 of Yruwshâláim! Lift it up – have no fear! Say to the towns of Yâhuwthâ´h: ‘Here is your mighty Ones!’ [1 Këph 1: 24-25]
Footnote
251 This is the comforting consolation of verse 1, and the details of the Glad Tidings is the arrival of the Kingdom of Yâ-hwéh, being established when He returns (see next verse 10).
10. Look, my Sovereign Yâ-hwéh, He invades by force, and His Arm [53: 1] shall rule for Him; look! His wages are with Him, and His recompense for His work252 is before Him.
Footnote
252 His work was our ransom and redemption by His death on the gallows-cross to accomplish the New Covenant. It is also referred to in Yâhuwchânâ´n 4: 34, 6: 29, Romans 11: 6 and Philipposíym 1: 6. Note that His recompense is for them to work the works of Yâ-hwéh, and to trust in Yâhuwshúa`.
11. Like a shepherd He pastures his flock, into His Sowing Arm He gathers them together; the lambs, even in His bosom He carries them, He leads the nursing ones to refreshment.
12. Who is it Who measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and Who meted out the heavens by the hand-span, or Who calculated by the measure the dust of the earth, or Who weighed out mountains in the scale and the hills in balances?
13. Who has doled out the spirit of Yâ-hwéh, and what Man of counsel has made Him known? Who has known the mind of Yâ-hwéh? And Who has been His Advisor that instructed Him?
14. To Whom did He consult, and gave Him understanding and taught Him in the path of rectitude and taught Him knowledge, and Who made known to Him the way of intelligence?
15. Look! Heathen masses are like a drop in a bucket, and are reckoned as the dust of the scales, look! He bears the countries as a tiny thing!
16. Even the Whiteness [Lvânówn] isn’t enough to kindle and His animals aren’t enough for a burnt offering!
17. All of the heathen masses are as if nonexistent beside Him; to Him they are reckoned less than nothing and without form.
