Hi,
I recently bought a replacement stick of ram, because beep codes told me to, however it was ebayed, because my computer is 5 years old (q6600 for life =P). Anyways that fixed my computer for a while, but now it blue screens, freezes, and arbitrarily restarts frequently. The code is different on the blue screen each time and all three things occur with fairly even frequency.
Further the most telling symptom is that sometimes it keeps trying to restart and never even shows the bios splash screen.I want to know if ram can cause this, because if so I'll just test the ram. Otherwise I'm thinking of just reseating everything in my computer [ram, CPU, GPU, power plugs, and give it a good air cleaning].This is frustrating, because my gpu and power supply are both only about 2 years old and my motherboard is only about 3 years old.
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
